Our Name
"The River" speaks of movement, life, a journey, and cleansing.
The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life. The river came from the throne where God and the Lamb were seated. Then it flowed down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river are trees that grow a different kind of fruit each month of the year. The fruit gives life, and the leaves are used as medicine to heal the nations.
Revelation 22:1-2
On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and shouted, "If you are thirsty, come to me and drink! Have faith in me, and you will have life-giving water flowing from deep inside you, just as the Scriptures say."
John 7:37-38
The river and its streams bring joy to the city, which is the sacred home of God Most High.
Psalm 46:4
(The people of God) are like trees growing beside a river, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves. Those people succeed in everything they do.
Psalm 1:3
Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold I will do something new. Now it will spring forth. Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18-19
"The river of God sets our feet a dancin'.
The river of God fills our hearts with cheer.
The river of God fills our mouths with laughter.
We rejoice for the river is here."
