Home-ing the Houseless
Learning to bring the comfort of our homes to those living on the streets.
In response to the emergency housing decrease, our community has rallied to support the homeless through dinners, breakfasts, and other offerings. And in the midst of this effort, we have learned that further training is necessary to better love them. This robust 8 week training will answer questions like “how does someone become homeless” and “how do I talk to a homeless person” as well as dive into the difficult issues of mental illness and drug abuse. We will have trained professionals, those affected by homelessness, those who have struggled with drug abuse, shelter workers and others come and share with us. We will explore the scriptures and be shaped by them. If you ever wanted to learn how to be a good friend to the homeless, this is your opportunity. We will meet weekly from 6:30-8:30 pm at The River Ministry Center beginning April 12th. Contact Pastor Tony at for more information.
