Morning of Equipping
Speaking of Jesus w/o being an offensive religious nut
Do you find it hard to be who you are, to “live your faith out loud”, in relationships? Are you afraid to offend others and so find yourself just keeping silent? Would you like to have deeper and more honest conversations about the spiritual journey with those in your life but are afraid of breaking fragile trust?
Come to a day of training, Saturday, 2/5, from 9-12:30 at The River Ministry Center. We will have 3 workshops of practical training offered by River pastors:
Learning when to go deeper in conversations - when/how to invite others into God conversations and to respond to promptings of the Spirit. What are the stages on the spiritual journey and what kind of conversations are appropriate for each stage?
How to engage in conversations about controversial topics in a constructive way — without arguing or defensiveness, even taking the conversation to a higher, more real level.
Models of living in freedom and with bold faith that are attractive and attainable for me. Do you just wonder if this is possible for others with different personalities, but not with you? Come explore how you can live a real faith and not contort yourself into someone else.
Each workshop will be offered twice during the time.
Session 1: 9-10:45
Session 2: 11-12:30.
So, you will be able to attend 2 seminars of your choice, but not all 3.
