Peacemaking Training - March 14
Our last scheduled Peacemaking Training is being held on March 14 from 9am - 2pm at the Ministry Center. These trainings have been an excellent time of practical equipping and application of the Peacemaking teaching and curriculum that we have experienced together. We structured this ministry year with a lighter Leadership Community meeting schedule to make room for Peacemaking conversations and training. It is my hope and expectation that you would hold these times with the same priority and regard that you would a Leadership Community meeting - these are very valuable times for us to share together.
Having touched upon working through conflict and dialoguing about values differences in previous trainings, our March training will focus on how to serve as a mediator between two parties who are in conflict. In our conflict- avoidant culture, this is an essential skill for our body. We need to be helping each other make peace because we all have our own personal blind spots to where disharmony and disunity may exist in our lives.
We also will be taking part of the day to follow-up on the Advisory Council/Board transition process. The Advisory Council with Buck Rogers’ help has drafted a document that outlines Board responsibilities and membership. We will review this document together and have some time for dialogue and prayer. Buck will be on hand to field any questions you may have.
