The Gift of Technology

GIFT OF CONNECTIVITY: In addition to regular holiday donations of food and clothing, the San Jose-based River Church Community is providing a gift of technology to help Santa Clara County's homeless population. The church and its partner, Consulting Within Reach, are donating $60,000 to help build a Web tool that will allow agencies to collaborate and match clients with the programs they need.
Participating agencies -- including InnVision, Catholic Charities and Family Supportive Housing -- are uploading their information to the Homeless-SCC website. The site should be operational early next year at http://homeless-scc.org.
