Compassion Ministry
The Compassion Ministries exist in the gap between the church and the marginalized of our society and our world; creating partnerships which share the wealth of spiritual, financial and human resources available at The River with communities in need of these resources; doing all of this in a way that helps the people of The River focus outside themselves and creates transformational alternatives to the lifestyle dictated by our Silicon Valley culture.
Compassion Ministry is structured so that anyone with the desire can become involved. Though involvement in a serving community is encouraged, it is not required. We realize that some people simply do not have the time to become involved in an ongoing way, but still want to be able to serve as best they can with what time they have.
This message will give you an overview of how we think about Compassion at The River and this one will give you a window into River ICE.
