Dear River Men and friends of The River,
The Men’s Ministry will begin its annual rite of Spring Book Club on Monday, April 13th. This year we are reading Hearing God: Developing a Conversational Relationship with God by Dallas Willard. The group will last ten weeks and will meet at 7PM at The River Ministry Center at 701 N. First St., San Jose, 95112.
Because my passion is to help men bond with God’s heart I thought it time we begin to develop what it means to live in communion with God. This group is really about building our personal relationship with our Creator and through that we’ll learn how to hear the healing words we need within. The closer we walk with Him the easier it becomes to know His mind and to hear His voice.
So if you feel paralyzed in your ability to connect with God come join us as we dialogue about what we read but spend the better part of our time listening and praying for one another. If you struggle with sin issues that have you bound, identity issues, shame, fear of intimacy, struggle with receiving grace or just feel dead inside in your relationship with God this is the place to come hear words that will hopefully bring freedom and healing.
My hope is that in drawing near to God we’ll begin to communicate with him--telling him what is in our hearts in prayer and hearing and understanding what he is saying to us.
