A Night of Intercession
& Healing Prayer
“Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.” James 5:13-15
At The River Church Community we believe that we all need healing. Our need may be physical, or it might be related to painful experiences from our past. Others might struggle with issues like anger, grief, or a deep insecurity. For some, you might just be weary from living life in the valley and you need the refreshment of words and prayers from the prayer team.
The Father desires and longs to touch us in those places where we’ve suffered pain and continue to struggle in our belief in God’s goodness and provision. No other god, person, or substance has the power to make us whole. Through these times of prayer, we believe God brings that power to restore wholeness to His people.
These times will provide you opportunities to quietly reflect on God’s kindness as others lay hands and listen for healing words to speak and pray over you. Also, there will be opportunity to partake of communion to come more fully present to God during this time.
