Adult Ministries

We offer the following ministries for adults that draw us together as Kingdom builders in our lives, our homes, our jobs, and our community. These are mid-sized groups that aim to help us be continually growing in our relationship with Christ through prayer, studying His word, fellowship and service.

Men's Ministry

Men's ministry at The River focuses on helping men connect with their heart and the Father's heart of love for his sons.  We gather together throughout the year in retreat, Bible study, and book studies. For more information about Men's ministry, contact Pastor David Alvarez at

Women's Ministry

Women's Ministry exists to encourage, nurture, and equip the women of The River to grow more deeply in their love of Jesus and get connected with one another in community.  To that end, we host a handful of events each year ranging from Fun Nights to Service Projects to Retreats.  We also have a mentoring ministry where women are paired for 6 months of intentional conversation. We are also always open for new ideas and initiatives.  Please contact Molly Meyer  with questions or suggestions.

Mugs & Mommas

Mugs & Mommas is open to all River Moms of kids in all ages and stages. We meet monthly on the 2nd Friday of the month from 9:30 - 11:30 am for conversation and community. Childcare is provided at our Friday meetings. We also have quarterly events in the evenings and play dates/activities for kids to join us. For questions and our current calendar of events, contact Andrea White at andrea.brian@sbcglobal.net.

The Healing Path

The Healing Path is a 11 week course that brings the healing touch of Christ into those areas where we have been wounded through the sin of others or through our own sinful patterns.  Our desire is to bring these wounds to the feet of Jesus where we find cleansing from the effects of these sins.  We believe the wounded need to be brought to Jesus in a place of safety and love.  Through community and prayer, we seek Christ's healing presence together. The Healing Path is being offered this winter from Monday, February 6 – Monday, April 17, 2017.  Download the application here. Please contact Pastor David Alvarez at   to find out more about The Healing Path.
