Serve at The River

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;
and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
To each is given the
manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
- 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

As a community, we have been on a journey of inviting the Spirit of God to identify and activate the gifts within each of us.  As God empowers you with your gifts, we hope you will manifest them for the common good here at The River. Below you will find varieties of ways for you to exercise your gifts.

We have organized the opportunities for you to exercise your gifts into 6 ministry areas:  Adult Formation, Children, Healing, Mission, Youth, and opportunities that serve the whole church which we call Serve.

If you are new to The River, consider the opportunities labeled Newcomer friendly. These are great ways for you to jump into serving, meet others, and invest more deeply in the life of our church.

1 Peter 4:10-11 says,  “As each of you has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace... In order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him be glory and dominion forever.  Amen.”
