Small Group Curriculum
Prayer Curriculum (Spring 2009)
River Shepherds-- (drum roll, please...) The River Spring Small Group Prayer Curriculum is now available below. I am very pleased with how this curriculum has come together and the potential it has for impact on our community. The process has been collaborative, and the product is experience-heavy, drawing us right into the place of learning to listen for God in a variety of contexts. I am hopeful that as we engage the 4 sessions (in conjunction with the Sunday morning teaching we'll be receiving in the area of prayer) that we will be challenged and equipped toward a deeper experience of our union with Jesus in the place of prayer.
A few notes related to the materials...
- A reminder that we've asked you to begin these sessions anytime after Easter (April 12th) that will allow you to conclude them by the end of June.
- A big thanks to Angela Aviles for her graphic work on the material. In addition to being "hearty" for our souls, it looks really great, too! As such, we will bring printed color copies of the materials for you and your groups to our Leaders Lunch on April 5th.
- All 4 sessions have been drafted, edited by more than one additional reader, and re-written. Only the first has been road-tested in a group thus far. As we road-test the others in the coming weeks, we may send a few notes of addendum, but there will be no major content shifts.
