This Week at The River Ministry Center 10/14/2008

Oct 14, 2008

Hello Everyone,

The students had a lock-in this past weekend.  All had fun and the Ministry Center is still intact.

Tony has spent the last week visiting our partners in Honduras (Iglesia en Transformacion) and Nicaragua (La Vida Education).  He returns tomorrow - be on the lookout for some blog posts about his travels.

Also, Tony wants to remind everyone to be collecting jackets, blankets, and non-perishable food for our "Giving Thanks by Giving Back" Kindness San Jose in November.  Collection bins will be available starting October 26.

Jill has been putting a lot of energy into the Grade School community and is also preparing for the first Parent Seminar on Sunday 10/19 "The Key to Your Child's Spiritual Formation."  She has also been working with the Sunday morning team on the family service coming up at the end of November which will focus on Advent.

Check out the website for some new items about the "temple" we build together this past Sunday as well as the upcoming Reconciliation Training.

I'm on vacation starting tomorrow - woo hoo!
