“I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:1-3 Dear River friends, I wanted to take a moment to keep you up to speed on our transition in the worship ministry. As you hopefully know, Krista-Dawn Kimsey will be moving on from her role as our Celebration Pastor in late December. On our church calendar, you’ll see that she is hosting a dessert for those of us who want to know more about what God is calling them to next. I hope that many of you will attend. Of course, we are planning other opportunities to celebrate Krista-Dawn and to express our gratitude to her. Stay tuned for more info. As we say prepare to say good-bye to Krista-Dawn, we are also actively engaged in our search process for a new worship leader. The resumes are beginning to roll in. And interviews are soon to follow. For those who would be helped by knowing how the interview process is structured and how we are evaluating candidates, we’ve posted a description here. Let’s all be praying for ears to hear how the Spirit is leading us. Peace, Brad Wong, Lead Pastor |

Kindness San JoseAt the River Church Community, we believe that Jesus wants us to be his presence in our local communities, downtown San Jose, and the world. For this reason, we have begun a quarterly missional tradition called Kindness San Jose. Simply, each quarter we are trying to serve our Valley together. It is our way of making sure to honor the way Jesus lived as much as affirm the truth he declared. Come and join us.
Please sign up for any of the following opportunities at the Connecting Table after service or contact for more information. |
