Hello!

Tonight is our monthly all-church Intercessory Prayer Meeting - 7pm at The River Ministry Center.

Men - a reminder that the Men's retreat is this Saturday at First Presbyterian in Mountain View.  Click here for more info.

The Women had a great kick-off gathering this past Saturday at the Bauer's home.  Over 75 women attended and packed out the Bauer's house.  It was a great time to connect, worship, and receive some relevant teaching.  For more information about future events, contact Molly Meyer at .

Tony is hard at work coordinating the November edition of Kindness San Jose.  We will have a variety of opportunities to serve with our local partners throughout the week of November 9.  Some dates are still being solidified, but you can go ahead and mark your calendar for these:

Monday, Nov 9 - Hand out blankets and jackets to the homeless

Friday Nov 14 - Shower for the women at Heritage Home

Sunday Nov 16 - Make care packages for clients at the Silicon Valley Christian Health Alliance (SVCHA) and engage in relational evangelism

Michelle returned back from sabbatical today - welcome back Michelle!

Jill had a great first "Risk Reduction" training for Kids' Community volunteers and parents this past Sunday.  They went through the revised KC handbook to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding safety procedures.

Kyle and the students are into their second week of the "Diving Deep" curriculum focusing on different spiritual disciplines.  They are also getting excited for a lock-in coming up this weekend!

I also had a good meeting with the BudgetWatchers folks.  We had a good conversation about some of the challenges in implementing a spending tracking system.

Stacy has closed the books on Ministry Year 2008!  Yay Stacy!

Call and Response movie

• The River has purchased a block of tickets for opening weekend, Friday October 10 and Sunday October 12. Tickets are free for you to attend and bring friends. All proceeds from the movie go to organizations working to stop human trafficking.
