This Week at The River Ministry Center 11/11/2008

Nov 11, 2008

Hello Everyone!

Well, the results are in - Daylight Savings Time "all the time" wins 8-0.  So write to your congressperson to have them abolish normal time.  Turns out there already is a group that wants to do this (well actually, they just don't want to change their clocks, they don't care which time we choose).

In other random news, I found this great, free, 2D platform game that is getting me dangerously close to acquiring carpal tunnel.

Kindness San Jose is underway!  Tony and company had a good experience giving away all of the jackets and blankets we collected.  Please be praying that the events this week would connect us more deeply to the needs of our community and that our partners and people in need would be blessed.  Also pray for Tony has he has just come down with an unpleasant cold.

Brad is hard at work on the fist sermon of our Peacemaking series.  We are very encouraged at what God has been doing through the trainings and small group studies.  It will be good to sit under the same word together as a whole congregation.

Check the website for some new stories.  The second installment of Tony's Travel Blog, a church financial update, and a report on the Women's breakfast back in October.
