Hello River, Happy Wednesday. It's Brad's birthday today! Happy Birthday Brad. My birthday was this week too. I got this. Fun stuff. We had a great small group vision retreat this past weekend at Presentation Center. We studied Acts 20 together and meditated on the high calling of shepherding leadership. We also had a strong cohort of folks considering various leadership roles at the retreat. Ask your small group leader or someone who attended more about it! Check the website for a new Flow video featuring Amy Gibson and uniforms for South African children. Tony has some incredible stories posted on his as well. You'll want to read what happened to the friendship he made at the Crema coffee house and a cool story about our Community Garden in the Washington neighborhood. If you've been volunteering at The River, you should have heard from your ministry leader about our volunteer appreciation banquet. Please contact if you feel like you've been left out. Announcements from Sunday, May 17th
Family Service on 5/31Come one, come all; come big, come small! It is time to gather as one big family again. We have been developing a tradition of having Kids’ Community and Student Ministries join the service in the ballroom quarterly. At this service we will remember the birth of the church at Pentecost and celebrate God’s beautiful work in creating and reaching out to a diverse humanity. If you are able or interested, please come dressed in ethnically diverse attire.
