This Week at The RIver Ministry Center 9/23/2008

Hello River!

Brad, Angela, and Krista-Dawn continue to work hard on the worship series.  We had a rich discussion on staff this morning about values in worship.  Please pray that God would continue to create a space for our community to engage together in worship.

The Changes that Heal discussion on Monday nights continues to be a rich time of learning and sharing.  David has been very encouraged by people's participation.

Mark will be travelling to the "Power of a Peacemaking Church" conference in Orlando.  See the conference website for more information on what he will be experiencing:  http://www.peacemaker.net/site/c.aqKFLTOBIpH/b.3459341/

Kyle and the students are transitioning into a curriculum called Diving Deep that focuses on helping them explore spiritual disciplines like worship, solitude, fellowship. . . Please pray that the students would engage with these topics and find significant relevance for their lives.

Tony is continuing to have many meetings with organizers in the community and members at The River.  He is starting to sketch out ideas for our fall service engagement, mentoring some recent grads that are pursuing intentional community, and will be travelling to visit our partners in Honduras and Nicaragua in October.

Jill is working with Benji Guerrero on putting Kids' Community on wheels!  The hope is to get most of the Kids' Community stuff on rolling carts to make setup and teardown more efficient.

I (Dave) have been working on finalizing MY08 reviews and MY09 goals and budgets.
