The River Church Community

Today’s ultrasound revealed that Hannah’s ventricles are continuing to enlarge. But, the doctors are still not sure that Hannah’s lungs are ready for delivery and surgery.

Tomorrow, four doctors will meet to review the case: The OB, the perinatologist, the neurosurgeon, and the radiologist. They will review all the information and tests results and weigh the pros and cons of letting Hannah stay in her mama’s belly for another week versus coming out sooner. They should be calling Shannon and Rod by tomorrow afternoon with their decision. The Geoghegans (or I) will post an update by tomorrow evening, letting everyone know the results of that discussion/decision.

Everyone has done such a beautiful and amazing job of continuing to pray for and reach out to the Geoghegan family. I’ve seen and heard of so much kindness and concern and love; it’s beautiful and restores my spirit! It makes me very proud to be a part of this effort to help them get through this time.

Please keep Hannah, Shannon, and Rod in your hearts and say an extra prayer for them tomorrow.
