The River Church Community

Dear River friends,

I am very pleased to announce that I have extended an official offer for our worship director position to Esther Cho. I spoke with her on the phone this morning and she was eager to accept our offer. My anticipation is that she will begin no later than mid-March. Details will follow in the upcoming weeks.

Numerous people in our community have thanked me for what has felt like a very healthy and unifying process. It is very clear to me that our capacity to walk through the process together, as members of one another, is the fruit of the peacemaking journey on which God has led us. So, thanks to all of you who made a healthy process possible by expressing your perspective in words seasoned with grace. And thanks be to God for his goodness and provision.

I continue to ask your prayers for the unity of our church community during this season of transition.
