Danielle has been attending The River since October 1998! This is actually her second time on our staff team. From 2007 to 2014, Danielle was our Admin assistant for Kids' Community and eventually stepped in as the KC interim director. During that stint, she developed a love and appreciation for Godly Play and a passion to create a welcoming space where kids from all backgrounds could hear and wonder about the stories of God and His people (and know that they are a beloved part of that very story).
Danielle enjoys administrative type tasks so when she heard about an opportunity to help again with Kids’ Community and also use her gifts to help out the pastoral team, it felt like a natural fit. She rejoined our team in May 2022 as our Ministry assistant for Kids' Community & Pastoral Support. She describes the role as “something old, something new, and a chance to offer what I can to support the staff team".
Danielle is married to Benji (better known as River photographer extraordinaire), and they are parents to two teenagers (they welcome all prayers!). Covid brought out the runner in her, including completing 2 marathons. Her perfect day includes a morning run along the Cambrian coastline. She hates all things coffee, but enjoys a hot cup of tea… even better if it comes with some dark chocolate.
