Chris and his wife Charisse and have been attending The River Church since 2017. Shortly after joining, they became part of a small group where they gather weekly for dinner, fellowship, and Biblical teaching. This has been a meaningful part of their spiritual journey. Chris actively serves with The River’s Grocery Ministry Team, delivering groceries to those in need, and also volunteers as an usher with the Hospitality Team. Additionally, he recently started helping out with the Seniors Ministry.
Chris says, "One of the things I love most about The River is its spirit of welcoming everyone and creating a space where people can come to discover Jesus’ teachings and explore how God—Father, Son, and Spirit—can become a central part of their everyday lives."
Over the years, Chris has been involved in various leadership roles in church settings. He has served as a Youth Group Leader, Men’s Group Leader, Elder Board Member, and has led home-building projects with Amor Ministries and Baja Ministries in Mexico.
Before retiring, Chris worked as an electrician and spent many years as a foreman before transitioning into a project manager role. Now that he's retired, he is grateful for the extra time to enjoy some of his favorite hobbies, including fishing, gardening, skiing, ice climbing, and golfing. Most importantly, he cherishes spending time with his 7 grandchildren.
