Chris Maitz

Chris joined the governing board in 2021.  He and his wife Kay have been attending The River since 2002. Chris has worked in high tech as a software engineer, manager, and program manager, and also holds an MA in Biblical Studies. In his time at The River he has served as a small group leader and a Sunday morning prayer minister, taught classes on the Bible, given the message a few times on Sunday mornings, and assisted Kay on special church projects such as a Lenten labyrinth. In his spare time he enjoys reading, solving crossword puzzles, writing poetry, and – whenever possible – hiking high in the mountains!
